Join us for the annual Smithsonian Institution Docent Exchange (SIDE) on Saturday, February 29th from 8:45-11:30. The program will open with Joanna Marsh, Deputy Education Chair and Anne Showalter, Digital Interpretation Specialist at Smithsonian American Art Museum, discussing the multidisciplinary project Re:Frame with a panel of fellow SI staff from several units. We will break into small docent groups for a brain-storming session exploring ways in which we could utilize this concept in our individual units.
The event will be held at American Art/Portrait Gallery, 8th and G Streets, NW (Gallery Place Metro). Bring your SI badge and start the morning with refreshments and conversation with your fellow docents.
